Parents Teaching Parents How to Deal With Cyberbullying

For parents, knowing how to deal with bullying (in any form) isn’t as simple as reading a “How-To” pamphlet.  All instances of bullying are different and can be handled in different ways.  Sometimes it’s as easy as talking to the parent of the other child, or presenting the problem to school administration; but as I’ve highlighted before, with the somewhat-recent emergence of cyberbullying, knowing what to do in these situations is getting more and more complicated.

Since When Was it OK to Talk to Strangers?

One of the Moms Who Inspire Me, Sue Scheff, took the liberty of informing parents about a new and potentially dangerous live webcam service on the Internet.  The new website is called Chatroulette.  In the site, strangers can chat with other strangers on a 1-to-1 basis via their webcam.  Because of this, Chatroulette is easily securing its position as a new threat to parents who are trying to ensure their child’s Internet safety.

Con Artists Targeting Older Crowd on Facebook.

Sometimes ignorance isn’t bliss.  Sometimes it pays to know the dangers that await us when we enter new territories.  Unfortunately, this is the position that people, specifically elderly people, are in due to the fact that scam artists, identity thieves and hackers are taking advantage of grandma and grandpa’s monetary generosity.
